Little Artist - Ronnie's story

“My big big dream is to have my own place.  You see, like this painting of mine: ‘Life in Hillbrow’.  The life there on the street, it was very hard.  Asking money on the street, begging.  Cold, very cold.  Sometimes I used to sleep where rain can reach me.  In 1990 when they found me, I met Edward.  He was an artist.  I started painting, I even won the competitions by that time.  From the dark to the light – that’s where I come from, I come from the dark to the light – but now I’m in the light, right now.”
